Fish Tokyo Bay the Japanese Way — Aboard a Traditional Tsuribune
A share-ride or charter fishing boat, "Tsuribune", is one of the most popular outdoor leisures in Japan as well, like in many other countries.
MaruMatsu Fishing Service has been providing a safe and enjoyable fishing service for more than 30 years in Yokosuka, targeting Aji fish mainly.
Our share-ride fishing plan welcomes both single guest and groups such as families couples and friends. We always support fishing beginners.
On the open ocean, you can fully feel the nature and enjoy fishing.
Fishes you catch can be released or partly brought back home for your cooking like Sushi and fries and all.
Our captain Yuta can communicate in English and we took many foreign customers like the U.S Navy personnel and their families and tourists as well, to the Tokyo bay where is famous for its rich seafood in Japan.
If you visit or stay in Yokosuka, how about going out to the ocean, and try Japanese style fishing with us, we always welcome you.

FAQ
Q1. I've never fished from a boat before — can I still join?
Of course, yes. Just let us know when booking and we'll walk you through everything in English. We are pleased to support your first ride and experience.
Q4. Please explain the schedule for the day before and the day of the trip.
If you provide your email address when making a web reservation, we will contact you by email with departure information if bad weather is forecast the day before.
If the trip is scheduled to depart, please arrive at our shop by 6:30 AM on the day of the trip.
After checking in at the shop, we will guide you to the boat.
Q2. What should I bring?
For fishing tackles, if you don't have them, don't worry. Rental rod service is available. (See below) You can also borrow life jacket and rain boots for free. Casual outdoor clothing is recommended for boarding. Don't forget to bring your food and drink (and medicine if applicable).
Q3. How far in advance do I need to book or cancel?
Book as early as possible — spots fill up quickly, especially on weekends. Similarly, please contact us in your earliest timing for cancellation. We don't charge any reservation or cancellation fee. If you feel anxious to the severe weather condition, don't hesitate to contact us via email for rescheduling/cancellation.

From beginners to well skilled anglars
Aji, Japanese horse mackerel, has long time been one of the most popular fish for Japanese seafood cuisine with its great taste and wide range of cooking, like Sushi, Sashimi, grilled, soup and fried.
Also as a fishing target, Aji has been very popular in Tokyo-Bay area, where is surrounded by Tokyo, Yokohama. The wild jerk of Aji(the size varies from 20cm to over 40cm) hooked entertains everyone from beginners to well experienced anglers. What makes good angler in Aji fishing is the skill to place the bait at a desired depth. (the technique is called Tana-Tori in Japanese).
Basically the fish gather around the depth of 2-3 meters(6-10 feet) from the bottom and you need to place the hook there considering the tide and other conditions.
This sounds simple and easy. But it's actually more interesting than it sounds, which is one of the reasons why Japanese people loves Aji fishing.

We take reservation from 1 person(Minimum number of participants in total is 4 for this share-ride plan, the plan will be canceled if the total number of participants were less than 2 people).

For weekdays AM slot(7:15-11:15) charter plans for Aji fishing is available depends on our schedule, we take reservations from 5 people or 35000JPY as the minimum charge. For weekends from 10 people or 70000JPY, please feel free to contact us!

Sunset Black Rockfish Fishing (July and Aug)

In the hot summer season, this night fishing excursion is popular among local anglers. The target fish, Mebaru, Black Rockfish, is known to be active from evening. We use light weighted rods and tackles which make the jerk of fish powerful to enjoy.
Of course Mebaru is good for cooking in grills, soup or fries. Kasago, another kind of rockfish that can be caught in this fishing, is also tasty. Both have white meat and go well with any type of cooking.
How about escaping from the summer sun and spending the evening on our boat fishing in Tokyo-bay.
